Was the bridge in Minnesota made from the same steel as WTC Building 7?
If Americans can blithely accept the notion that all of the structural supports in a 47 story steel building can just give out (as if it were a planned demolition – but it wasn’t), then why can’t the structural supports of a bridge that stood in place for 40 years just give out? Maybe we are talking about defective steel here. The kind that works fine for forty years, and then one day it just gives out. What do you think? Do you dare to think???
What 47 storey building are you talking about?? If it is the WTC, steel loses a great deal of strength as it is heated to higher temperatures, even to the point where it will melt and flow like a liquid.
As to the bridge in Minnesota, it was probably fastener failure of some sort from not meeting spec or a combination of design, fatigue, and fasteners.
