My chihuahuas keep going to bathroom in my house, what to do?
I have a 2 year old chihuahua and 6 month old chihuahua, and both are persistent in using the bathroom in my house. The 2 year old will use the pee-pee mat when in her fenced in are, but when left to run she goes on my rugs! The 6 month old I have only had for a week, and she will pee and poo off of the pee mat (totally ignores it) and walks around in it (ew!). I need a lot of advice, obviously. Any tips to train my two chihuahua to pee and poo on the mat and outside?
First thing you do, is throw away all “pee pee pads” and scratch that idea completely. That doesnt teach your dogs anything, except that its ok to deficate inside the house.
Then get a crate and a good puppy training book. Start housebreaking both of your dogs from scratch!
