Coolant engine block sealer???
i have a john deere 4039 diesel engine and I had the head pressure tested and shaved because it was warper I put everything back together and it is still burning coolant and getting small amounts of coolant into the oil. It still runs good but just smokes alot. I am now assuming that there is a crack in the block or possibly the head was not tested out properly. Anyway of using sealer on this or what is the best way to find out which cylinder or cylinders are leaking?
first off if you run it and it leaking coolant in to the oil the coolant will ruin a crank shaft in no time,second i doubt that sealer will stop this from happening,if i were you id tear back in to it and find out what was cracked,its possible just a head is bad on this one,i don’t think sealer will stop one leaking this bad,do a pressure check on it to find out,that may help narrow it down,good luck with it.
