Help with Sims 2 Apartment Life/Mansion&Garden Stuff!?
I have Sims 2 Apartment Life and it works fine, I bought Mansion&Garden Stuff and installed it and at the end of the installation it says that it will make sure my game is up to date and it installs an update to Apartment LIfe. Now whenever I try to start up the Sims, it says “Conflict with Emulation Software Detected.” I know it has something to do with the update because I do not have any software like Daemon tools or Alcohol and all EA will tell me to do is uninstall those! I feel crazy please help! Is there any way to install Mansion&Garden Stuff without doing the auto update?? Please help.
I tried that Becky, if I uninstall Mansion&Garden Stuff, Apartment Life works fine, but I want both to work )-:
I really don’t think I have ANY software like that, unless it could be embedded in a common program. If someone could find me a list of those bad programs that might help.
My problem is still unresolved so if anyone can give me a better answer I will vote yours best. Thanks.
You must have something in your computer that is considered emulation software. I would go to Control Panel and scroll through your programs there. If you see something strange (out of the ordinary) go to Programs and right click on it to see it’s properties. In all, I would uninstall anything you think might be the cause of screwing up your games. You should be able to find the program causing the problem in your computer. It’s got to be in there.
