How do I keep my John deere e-35 edger on? It turns on then but turns off. Got it used & no owners manual. ?
This is a gas powered engine. It will turn on for a short time, but does not appear to get to full speed and then turns off.
Check all fuel lines, make sure no holes in them. Check muffler for foreign objects in exhaust port (such as dirt dabber nest). If none of these check all bolts, especially the cylinder bolts for tightness. Then rebuild carb. after cleaning with cleaner and blowing out with compressed air.
